It’s been a busy afternoon of Yankees roster moves. Earlier, it was announced that George Kontos had joined the team. We had to wait awhile to hear the corresponding move, and unfortunately it was CC Sabathia to the disabled list. According to Connor Foley, the Yankees have also called up Ronald Torreyes. Luke Voit will be sent down to make room for the infielder.
After spending the last two seasons with the squad full-time, Torreyes found himself the odd man out back in May when the team needed to call up an extra reliever.
