Yankees president Randy Levine has responded to HBO's "Last Week's Tonight" host John Oliver's attack on the team's new ticket policy and Lonn Trost, the team's chief operating officer.
"Everyone is welcome at Yankee Stadium," Levine said. "And I thank John Oliver for buying Yankees tickets."
Oliver ripped the Yankees for instituting a new policy that stops fans from using print-at-home tickets to get into Yankee Stadium.
He also went at Trost for the following comment he made at the time the organization announced the new policy:
Viewers who tweeted a photo of themselves dressed as if they've never sat in a premium seat before can get a pair of tickets behind home plate for 25 cents a piece.
