When it came to how the Yankees were going to make room for Aaron Judge’s return from the injured list on Friday, Aaron Boone didn’t provide any clues Thursday afternoon.
There were several options available to the Yankees with each presenting a problem. They could designate red-hot outfielder Cameron Maybin for assignment which would certainly mean losing him to another big league club. They could wait and see how many pitches Nestor Cortes, Jr. threw Thursday night and if it was enough to keep him away from game action for a few days the lefty could be optioned to the minor leagues.
