TORONTO— Sorry Yankees fans, manager Aaron Boone hasn’t changed his mind about keeping Sonny Gray in the rotation.
The struggling righty, who was lit up for five runs over two innings in a 6-2 Toronto Blue Jays win over the Yankees on Friday night, still is a go to make his next scheduled start Wednesday night in Baltimore.
The morning after Boone claimed the Yankees’ “best option” was keeping Gray in the rotation, the manager said on Saturday afternoon that pitching coach Larry Rothschild already has pinpointed mechanical changes that could lead to a quick fix.
