When Miguel Andujar suffered a labrum injury to his right shoulder March 31, the Yankees said they would know in two weeks if the third baseman had healed enough to play or if season-ending surgery would be necessary.
Andujar was placed on the 10-day injured list April 1, but two weeks later the Yankees don’t have a definitive answer.
“I would say we don’t know yet. He’s down there hitting [Tuesday] and continuing to increase his throwing. I would say we’re not at the point where we know one way or the other how it’s [going],’’ manager Aaron Boone said before Tuesday’s 8-0 drubbing of the Red Sox in The Bronx.
