Yankees’ star infielder is currently nursing a finger injury

The New York Yankees had to play Tuesday night’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays without their starting shortstop, Gleyber Torres. The reason behind his absence is because he sustained an injury during Monday’s victory against the same foe.

During Monday’s tilt, the Yankees’ star jammed his ring finger while diving back into a base, and manager Aaron Boone decided to give him a day off and write Gio Urshela’s name in the shortstop position in the lineup card.

The Yankees had Gleyber Torres receive precautionary X-rays and a CT scan after the unfortunate injury in his right hand.
