Yankees’ Sonny Gray drawing interest from Red, A’s

It’s been over a month since Yankees general manager Brian Cashman publicly announced Sonny Gray was on the market, the right-hander will be headed out of The Bronx — and perhaps soon.

The Yankees have talked to the Reds about Gray, who just turned 29, The Post confirmed. And his former team, the Athletics, are also reportedly interested in a possible reunion, according to MLB.com.

Both potential landing spots would make sense for Gray.

The Reds’ new pitching coach, Derek Johnson, was Gray’s pitching coach at Vanderbilt and Cincinnati president of baseball operations Dick Williams told WLW this week, “I think we need to add two pitchers.
