Yankees sign first round draft pick Kyle Holder

The Yankees have signed shortstop Kyle Holder from the University of San Diego, though the team has not made the signing official. Holder was the 30th overall pick in the 2015 MLB first year player draft and the Yankees second overall draft choice.

USD junior Kyle Holder rates among the top shortstops in the nation. Holder was selected 2015 West Coast Conference Player of the Year.

This is the 11th draft pick that has reportedly signed with the Yankees. First overall pick James Kaprielian is not expected to sign until close to the deadline as he is represented by none other than Scott Boras.
