The Yankees played game 157 on Sunday, and as we’ve come to respect, won their 102nd win. This game came with monstrous conclusions for playoff opponents, as Luis Severino spread out only 3 hits and dominated the tough Blue Jay lineup for five innings, warning the MLB that his comeback is no fluke.
Severino didn’t walk a soul and looks like the ace we’ve all expected him to be. If the Yankees have shown anything this year, omitting Betances, Stanton, and Hicks, they are very good at rehabilitating their best players after surgeries, and not once rushed anyone all season long.
