Yankees set to name Matt Blake as their pitching coach

The Yankees are set to hire Matt Blake as their pitching coach, The Post confirmed on Thursday.

Blake, who will replace Larry Rothschild, was the assistant director of player development for the Cleveland Indians, a team that has had plenty of recent success developing its pitching.

The 33-year-old was an associate scout for the Yankees before being hired by the Indians in 2016 to be a pitching coordinator in the minors.
