The Yankees have a roster spot open until newly acquired Lance Lynn arrives, so they decided to fill it with left-handed starter Ryan Bollinger ahead of today’s game.
Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees selected the contract of LHP Ryan Bollinger to the 25-man roster from Double-A Trenton.
Drafted in 2009 in the 47th round by the Phillies, Bollinger spent three seasons in the minors and made it as high as Single-A. He left the MLB in 2014, opting to play in independent leagues in Canada and Australia through 2017.
