For the second time in three games, Gleyber Torres left a game early. He departed prior to the bottom of the third inning, after getting two-at bats early in the contest. Breyvic Valera replaced him at second base.
On Sunday night Torres came out of the Red Sox game with what was described as “core issues”. He underwent a battery of tests, including an ultrasound, and they all came back clean. Torres played in yesterday’s game as the designated hitter, going hitless in the process, before playing the field today.
