Chris Capuano is back in the Bronx as the Yankees have selected his contract from Scranton Wilkes/Barre.
The move comes after the team announced they have moved left-handed reliever Jacob Lindgren from the seven-day disabled list to the 60-day.
The veteran Capuano has had a rocky season with New York. He has been designated for assignment five times by the Yankees while electing to stay with them in the minor leagues. The 36-year-old is 0-4 with a 7.71 earned run average in 18 games this season.
On the other hand, losing Lindgren is big for New York who thought he might be a valuable asset in the bullpen down the stretch.
