Here’s how the Yankees’ top American League opponents fared on Tuesday night.

Philadelphia Phillies (54-47) 4, Baltimore Orioles (62-39) 3

These two teams went down to the wire in their first game of the series, and there was more ninth inning drama in store on Tuesday. The Orioles popped open a 2-0 lead midway through the third inning after RBI doubles from Austin Hays and Adam Frazier, but the Phillies got one back in the bottom of the third when they chained three straight hits off of Kyle Gibson.
