Yankees recall Shreve, send down Pinder

NEW YORK -- The Yankees made a move in their bullpen Tuesday, when they recalled reliever Chasen Shreve from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and optioned Brandon Pinder to their top affiliate. 

Shreve, 24, has made 17 appearances in the Major Leagues and has a 1.06 career ERA. The left-hander has tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season. Shreve was acquired with David Carpenter from the Braves in January in exchange for Manny Banuelos.Shreve has made two appearances for the Yankees this season.
