ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays conclude their four-game series on Thursday afternoon at Tropicana Field.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m.
With this being a day game after a night game, Yankees manager Aaron Boone will rest two of his starters, left fielder Andrew McCutchen and catcher Gary Sanchez.
In the first three games of the series, McCutchen was 5-for-11 with a homer, three walks and a hit by pitch in 15 plate appearances.
Sanchez is just 3-for-34 (.088) over his last 10 games, but was 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI in the Yankees’ win over Tampa Bay on Monday night.
