PHOENIX — Because there wasn’t a game Monday, Boone didn’t have to answer questions about his injured players. That changed Tuesday when he ran down the progress of players working their way back from the injured list.
Clint Frazier tested his sprained left ankle by taking batting practice, running and doing defensive work and Boone said it went well.
Frazier is eligible to come off the IL on Friday.
“Thursday on the off day he will come in and do arc runs [along the outfield grass, from first to third],” Boone said before the Yankees’ 3-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.
