Despite the presence of all four of George Steinbrenner’s children in running the Yankees, there is probably no one more temperamentally like the The Boss than team president Randy Levine.
He is aggressive, volatile and believes in the dramatic move. He described himself as “a disciple of George Steinbrenner,” and because of that he expressed “disappointment” on Wednesday that the club failed to reach its annual goal of winning a championship.
Nevertheless, on the morning after the Yankees were eliminated – a period when prime-time Steinbrenner often would be at his most furious and negative – Levine offered a positive take on 2015.
