The Yankees couldn’t even make it a few hours without suffering another injury. On the same day that the team placed Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list, Miguel Andujar hit the shelf with a right shoulder strain. The team announced that Tyler Wade would come up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to fill the roster spot.
Andujar, 24, had three hits in the opening series against the Orioles. He lofted a few balls to the warning track, however, so it’s not like he wasn’t making good contact.
