Luke Voit sure did enjoy playing in London. Before injuring himself rounding first base on a double in the Yankees 17-13 victory over the Red Sox on Saturday, the 28-year-old first baseman had gone 4-for-4 with two runs scored, seven total bases, three doubles and an RBI in just five innings.
Although Voit was hopeful he would be able to suit up for the short series finale, the following day, the Yanks decided to be cautious. And with an off day on Monday, the club decided to place Voit on the 10-day IL, retroactive to June 30.
