November 6: Teams can extend qualifying offers to their outgoing free agents
Obviously, the Yankees don't have to worry about this because they aren't giving $15.8 million to Chris Young, Stephen Drew or Chris Capuano. They just have to wait and see which free agents are offered the deal.
November 7: Exclusive negotiating rights end and free agents are now allowed to sign deals with new teams.
Young might be the only free agent they end up signing and it has yet to be seen how active they will be on the open market, but at 12:01 PM on Saturday, things will start moving along.
