@BrendanKutyNJ Yankees more likely to sign/trade for a veteran 2b or 3b on multi-year deal. Or they looking for 1-year stopgap?
-- Greg Rienzi (@gregrienzi) January 14, 2018I think they’re looking for a one-year stopgap at third base and expecting Gleyber Torres to become their everyday second baseman, with one of the other internal options — Tyler Wade? Ronald Torreyes? — taking over for at least April. I could see them sucking it up and signing a third baseman to, say, maybe a two-year deal and then trying to flip him in the offseason, but there aren’t many candidates for that.
