Yankees Not Listing A-Rod HRs On ‘Upcoming Milestones’ Handout

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — It’s expected that the New York Yankees will fight a series of marketing bonuses due to Alex Rodriguez by not declaring his steps up the all-time home runs list as milestones.

If that’s the plan, they’re sticking to it.

With 655 career home runs, A-Rod is just five behind Willie Mays — and tying Mays for fourth on the list would trigger a $6 million payment. But the looming feat was nowhere to be found on a handout of “upcoming milestones” given to the media before Monday night’s series opener in Baltimore.
