Yankees News: Yankees fan Richard Albero completes Wounded Warrior walk

Lifelong New York Yankees fan Richard Albero set a goal to walk from home plate at Steinbrenner field to home plate at Yankee Stadium to honor his fallen nephew, Gary, an insurance broker at the World Trade Center, who passed away in the 9/11 attacks, and raise $25,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Albero started his charity walk on March 2nd, leaving from home plate at Steinbrenner Field.  On Tuesday, Albero saw his goal through, reaching home plate in the Bronx.  The 65-year-old retired school teacher also reached his goal, raising nearly $27,000.
