The Yankees are making another attempt to pad the team’s first base depth. According to Chris Cotillo, the Bombers have once again signed Adam Lind to a minor league deal. If you recall, the club tried this exact move back in March. It didn’t work out then, but maybe the second time’s the charm.
In an abridged spring training, Lind hit .200/.250/.200. He never had a chance to get going at the plate, and he recognized as much. He asked to be released from his contract following the Neil Walker signing.
