In the offseason General Manager Brian Cashman did everything he could to assess the damage that was the 2014 season. The New York Yankees‘ roster was in shambles and it was evident in the hostility of the fanbase. The pitching was thin and aging while the rest of the roster was fragile enough to leave the team short handed for majority of the season. Cashman went out and added depth in the rotation, bullpen, and roster with move, after move. One of those big moves was trading utility man Martin Prado and swing pitcher David Phelps for Nathan Eovaldi and company.
