With Slade Heathcott set to make his major league debut for the New York Yankees, Mason Williams has been promoted from Trenton to Scranton in order to fill the void left behind by Heathcott.
“It’s well deserved,” Thunder manager Al Pedrique said of Williams’ promotion to Nick Peruffo of The Trentonian. “He did everything we asked him to do, and in center field that’s what they need up there right now. He’s going to play every day.”
While many believe Aaron Judge was in line for a call up over Mason Williams, it’s hard to look past the solid numbers posted by Williams.
