Yankees News: Jose Pirela Set to Begin Rehab Assignment

After two extended spring games, New York Yankees middle-infield prospect Jose Pirela finally resumed baseball activity on Sunday when he played the first actual game of his injury rehab assignment at Class A Tampa. Pirela had been sidelined since the tail end of spring training when he was diagnosed with a concussion after crashing into the outfield wall while chasing down a fly ball.
