Yankees need to stop whining and start winning

Less whining, more winning.

That’s what the Yankees need to do as the dog days of August begin to turn into the stretch of the AL East race.

Manager Joe Girardi got tossed from Thursday’s 3-2 loss to the Indians because he came out to question a couple of called strikes by home plate umpire Dan Iassogna. For the most part, the Yankees have had the calls go their way this season, especially a number of key challenges.

The pressure of a pennant race shows itself in many ways, and one way is bickering about umpires’ calls.
