The Yankees are making sure there’s a Plan C to go with their Plan B.
The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed Monday that the Bombers are close to a minor league deal with lefty Gio Gonzalez, with a $3 million salary in the big leagues. He will have an opt-out if he doesn’t make the MLB roster by April 20.
With ace Luis Severino and veteran CC Sabathia shelved with injuries to start the season, the Yankees are expected to turn to Jonathan Loaisiga, Domingo German and Luis Cessa to fill in the gaps.
