Yankees move up Gleyber Torres so he’s just a call away

The Yankees are bringing Gleyber-mania to Scranton.

The organization’s top prospect is being promoted from Double-A Trenton to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre, The Post’s George A. King III confirmed on Sunday, moving him a step away from a major league call-up.

Torres, obtained from the Cubs in last year’s Aroldis Chapman deal, was hitting .277 with five home runs and four steals in 31 games with Trenton. The 20-year-old predominantly played shortstop, but also appeared in games at second base and third base.

Torres was benched Wednesday night for not hustling when he hit a ball to left field that he believed would go foul but stayed fair.
