HOUSTON — One day after learning staff ace Luis Severino could be lost for three months due to a Grade 2 latissimus strain that followed an inflamed rotator cuff in his right shoulder, the Yankees received positive feedback regarding Miguel Andujar’s right labrum issue.
Andujar’s first baseball activity since going on the injured list April 1 consisted of him playing catch softly with infield coach Carlos Mendoza Wednesday afternoon at Minute Maid Park with manager Aaron Boone watching.
By all accounts it was a small step forward, but the injury-ravaged Yankees will take good news no matter the size.
