MOOSIC, Pa. – Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira said he "felt pretty good" playing in his first rehab game with the Triple A Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Tuesday night at PNC Field.
"I felt good moving around first base, making some plays and I felt pretty good in the box so, so far so good," Teixeira said Tuesday night after playing six innings in the RailRiders' 9-2 triumph over the Toledo Mud Hens.
Teixeira has been on the DL list since June 4 with torn cartilage in his right knee but is hoping to rejoin the Yankees Saturday if all goes well during his three-game rehab stint in Scranton.
