TORONTO — Until Luke Voit can participate in baseball activities more involved than running, no decision will be made about whether or not the first baseman will need hernia surgery.
“He is going to have to get back into baseball activities, something he needs to do moving closer, but we are not there yet,’’ Aaron Boone said before the Yankees’ 12-6 win over the Blue Jays on Thursday night at Rogers Centre.
According to Boone, Voit is running and feeling good.
“I think he is really encouraged but I don’t have much more than that,’’ said Boone, who texted with Voit on Wednesday.
