Yankees lose Michael Pineda to DL with forearm strain

Is Panic City moving to The Bronx?

Michael Pineda will be scratched from Thursday night’s start against the Rangers, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed. A Yankees exec said he is dealing with a forearm strain and the injury is not considered serious.

WFAN’s Mike Francesa reported Thursday that Pineda had suffered an elbow injury and could be badly hurt. The radio host — not known for his reporting acumen — also said Ivan Nova could spend time on the disabled list, he left a start earlier this week with a tired arm. Bryan Mitchell will start for Pineda in Texas.
