NEW YORK -- Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks' dream season has taken a turn that's filled with pain and frustration.

His shocking run from fourth outfielder to All-Star candidate is over.

Hicks suffered a right oblique injury during the Yankees' 8-7 loss to the Texas Rangers on Sunday, and an MRI revealed bad news.

"I'm going on the DL," Hicks mumbled softly to a group of reporters while standing at his locker for a short post-game interview. "They said the process is about three-to-four weeks and I'll going to do my best to get it done before that.
