CLEVELAND — The only item missing from the generous gift presented to the Yankees by the Indians on Saturday night was an attractive pinstripe bow dotted with interlocking NYs.
Two errors on one play by a pair of Indians fielders in the seventh inning was the difference in a 5-4 Yankees victory over the Tribe in front of 35,353 at Progressive Field.
Austin Romine led off the seventh with a double into the right-center-field gap with the score tied, 4-4. When right fielder Brandon Guyer failed to pick the ball up off the warning track cleanly he was charged with an error that allowed Romine to make third.
