On a day in which he was given a huge run support even before making a pitch, New York Yankees’ starter Jordan Montgomery just didn’t have it. On Sunday, the Bombers once again dropped the series finale after dominating in the previous games and lost to the Baltimore Orioles 10-6.
The loss was surprising, since Aaron Judge hit his fourth homer of the series, and Gary Sanchez and Clint Frazier went back to back. Dropping the game after such a power showing is disappointing, to say the least.
The Yankees’ left-hander was uncharacteristically spotty with his command and just couldn’t finish hitters.
