BALTIMORE -- Yankees center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury is finally on the road to recovery after six scary days of headaches.
"Today's the best day I've felt," Ellsbury said Tuesday at Oriole Park in his first interview since going on baseball's seven-day concussion disabled list due to a face-first crash into the Yankee Stadium center-field wall last week.
Tuesday was Ellsbury's first day with no headaches since he robbed Kansas City Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar of extra bases on the first pitch of last Wednesday night's game.
"The head feels a lot better, so I'm going to let (Yankees head athletic trainer) Steve (Donahue) know and we'll make a gameplan of what I'm allowed to," Ellsbury said.
