NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — It’s been a rough start to the season for the New York Yankees to put it bluntly.
The Yankees are currently in the American League East basement with an 8-15 record, six games behind the first-place Boston Red Sox, CBS2’s Steve Overmyer reported.
It’s a sight fans are not familiar with.
“You know why? Because we suck. We got swept by the Red Sox,” one fan said.
It’s been more than 20 years since the Yankees were this bad. The team is not scoring, and giving up too many runs, as they have a -31 run differential.
