NEW YORK a It was a winter wonderland outside Yankee Stadium on Monday morning.
The trees and grass were covered with a falling snow and the temperature was an almost freezing 34 degrees.
It was a pretty sight ... unless you were driving through the slush.
It definitely wasn't a day for baseball, and by 8:45 a.m., the Yankees made a final decision to postpone their home opener against the Tampa Bay Rays, which had had a 1:05 p.m., scheduled start.
This is the second time in three years that the Yankees' home opener was postponed due to inclement weather, as they were rained out in 2016.
