While the Yankees extended their winning streak to four games by sweeping the Angels out of The Bronx on Thursday with a 6-3 victory, they lost another first baseman.
The latest to go down was Chris Parmelee, who homered twice Wednesday night and drove in a run Thursday. Starting in February when Greg Bird had shoulder surgery, the Yankees have lost Mark Teixeira, Dustin Ackley and now Parmelee.
Manager Joe Girardi and assistant trainer Tim Lentych helped Parmelee off the field after he was hurt stretching for a ball in the seventh inning.
