The Arizona series didn’t go as planned, did it? For the first time in a while the lineup showed that it consisted of several replacement players. They did their job admirably, but it’s going to be a relief when the stars return.

Luke Voit’s on-base streak remained in tact on Wednesday afternoon. The first baseman has reached safely in 41 consecutive games dating back to last September. Today he lifted a solo homer and drew a walk. If he reaches safely on Friday, he will tie Mark Teixeira and Bernie Williams at 42.
