The Yankees set a franchise home run record last year, and that was pretty cool. They decided to up the ante in 2019, however, by breaking an MLB record.

Have you noticed the key role DJ LeMahieu has played in the Yankees’ current home-run streak? He hit a three-run bomb off Justin Verlander on Sunday to keep it alive, and then tonight he broke the record. His first inning shot made it 28 consecutive games in which the Yankees have hit a homer, eclipsing the record set by the 2002 Texas Rangers.
