Governor Andrew Cuomo announced something Sunday that paves the way for New York sports teams top return to the state.
While the New York Yankees’ training for any form of 2020 season will likely take place in the state of Florida, per last week’s rumors, the state passed a major hurdle in terms of safety precautions on Sunday.
Now, it’s time for MLB to respond in kind to the NBA and NHL’s recent peacemaking, in an effort to seal the deal.
Though Governor Cuomo’s words ring a bit hollow until major sports leagues officially resolve their issues and announce details of their comebacks, he did announce in his daily briefing that New York sports teams are free to resume training camps in their respective facilities.
