BALTIMORE — The Yankees hit three homers in the top of the third Tuesday night and then watched All Star second baseman Gleyber Torres leave a second game in three days.
Torres was removed from Sunday night’s game against the Red Sox and taken to a New York hospital for tests to see what caused discomfort in the right groin area. Monday he mentioned he had a test for a possible hernia but was in Monday night’s lineup as the DH and went 0-for-5. Torres fouled out and whiffed in the first two at-bats Tuesday.
Breyvic Valera replaced Torres at second base.
