The Yankees have two new faces.
The Bombers signed righty pitcher Drew Hutchison and outfielder Matt Lipka to minor league contracts, the team announced on Friday. The duo will also have invitations to major league spring training.
Hutchison last pitched for the Rangers and has a career 5.10 ERA with a 32-23 record. Lipka has no major league experience, and hit .240 for the AA Richmond Flying Squirrels last season.
The Yankees also retained three of their current players, getting a head start on Friday’s arbitration deadline by signing Greg Bird, Austin Romine and Aaron Hicks.
