The New York Yankees have gotten terrible injury news on the week, losing pitcher Corey Kluber and first baseman Luke Voit to shoulder and oblique injuries, respectively, which will take at least a few weeks to heal in both cases.
However, not everything is bad for the Yankees. Slugger Giancarlo Stanton, currently nursing a left quad strain, has a very good chance of returning this week, which comes at a perfect time since the Yankees’ depth has suffered huge hits with Voit, Ryan LaMarre, and Aaron Hicks’ injuries.
The Yankees’ official site marked Friday (tomorrow) as Stanton’s expected return date.
