Giancarlo Stanton isn’t returning to the injured list just yet. He isn’t returning to the field yet, either.
After Stanton suffered a right knee contusion in Tuesday night’s win over Toronto, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said the outfielder’s MRI exam came back clean, though the slugger reported stiffness in the joint Wednesday morning.
Boone said Stanton would “probably” still travel with the team to London on Wednesday night.
“[The] tests were good,” Boone said. “There’s no swelling in there, but he’s a bit sore and stuff.
