Luke Voit doesn’t have the major league track record of Giancarlo Stanton, Dellin Betances and Luis Severino, but he is returning from the injured list before them.
Voit, on the IL with a sports hernia, played in a third straight game and was 3-for-5 with an RBI for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.
“From what I understand [Saturday] went well and he hit a homer,’’ manager Aaron Boone said before the Yankees beat the Dodgers, 5-1, at Dodger Stadium. “He is on track and fully expect him to join us when we get off the road.
